Horrible narration!
The actual story itself is not bad but the narration is absolutely painful to endure! The author of this book did herself a disservice by using this narrator. Very disappointed.

love the story but the narrator is making it painf
Love the story but the narrator is making it very difficult to continue. She sounds like she's reading to school children - making the characters sound ridiculous stupid.

Great American historical series.
Love the series. I have been reminded about many events that took place in American history and learned of some new I did not recall. The hardships suffered by so many to make America a great nation. The 4 star on performance was mostly getting used to having a different narrator than the previous books in the series.

So much of it is parallel to the political climate of today. We must be moving in the wrong direction.
