Juliet's been in hiding. From her family, from her life, but most of all from the fact that Ben's not around anymore. Her mother, Diane, has run out of advice. But then she insists Juliet look after her elderly Labrador, and it becomes apparent that Coco the dog might actually be the one who can rescue her daughter. I listen to Dillon when I need something simple and with a guaranteed happy ending. this one was less ambitious than others, with one of the story arch's being too convenient and easily resolved. Price-lewis is normally good, but someone who could do an Irish accent for Lorkin was really needed.

It took me a while to get into this story, if it wasn't for the dog factor I may have given up. A little predictable with a few twist and turns, in the end I really enjoyed it, try to hang in there.

Loved this bought, I switched between reading and listening, but was disappointed that the AUDIBLE version didn’t include the EPILOGUE as published in the book. Without it, it ends very suddenly!

Lucy Dillon never disappoints!! I'm almost through listening to all of her novels and can't recommend them enough, getting a little sad there are not many left now!
