redhat queen

This book was very interesting and intriguing. I like Viking stories. This one had a lot of action and was a love story. I liked it very much. I can’t wait to listen to the other books you have written. The narrator was very good at telling the story too.

She remained true to love, despite everything!

This is a complex and dramatic end to this series.
One warrior, believing that he was overlooked for leadership wrecks havoc on two clans, and one woman and two leaders, are those that are tied up in the madness.
Great episode, Great series and I enjoyed the narrator's take on the whole story, slow and deliberate, giving credence to the various characters.

conspiracies and harsh realities

And the violence and ugliness continues. and I still keep listening. It is addicting. I had misgivings and a strange sense that all was not as it seemed as I listened. Checknit out and see if you can spot fact from fiction. Secrets and betrayals come to light. If I wete reading this I would have had to walk away a few times, but as I listened I was riveted. An amazing series. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this story and am giving an honest review. The narrator's voices and expressions added to my enjoyment of this story.

Dark and erotic; full of Viking action and love

The Viking series is so realistic and atmospheric that you feel that you are in the villages and sharing the Viking rituals, fierce raids and lust. Just when i thought that Ms, de Maupassant could not top the previous two books in this series, Viking Beast blew me out of the water. What a fantastic book by a very good writer. The narration was perfect for the book! This is an unusual romance that works on so many levels. There is suspense and action as one Viking village raids another in revenge. Characters that I loved in the first two books may perish and lovesr Eirik and Elswyth are parted when she is taken prisoner by the vicious and scarred Viking Beast Eldberg. He is determined to break her spirit as part of his revenge and make her his sex slave. Wow, this book is so hot! The scenes where he makes her his slave are so real and so sexy. And Eldberg is such an unlikable character, full of hate and vengence and love for his deceased wife, it is hard to believe that he could change. It seems very realistic for Viking times. And the author adds rich Viking culture and tradition so that you really feel like you are there. The book sets up a seemingly impossible set of conflicts that will keep you reading until late at night. Can they be resolved? I don't want to spoil any of this creative plot, so you just need to read it for yourself. You will love it.

Dark Historical Viking Romance

Viking Beast, the third book in the Viking Warriors, a dark historical Viking romance. The storyline simply fascinating; I was wholly absorbed in the characters and the events. Emmanuelle de Maupassant captures the nuances of the period and the Viking culture, creating a fantastic story with dark components. Emma Parry's narration is excellent, further captivating the listeners. I was given a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.

An excellent Viking audiobook

This is the third installment in the story of Elswyth and her life with the Vikings.

To say that Elswyth has been on a journey thus far (from the previous two books) would be an understatement, and in this audiobook so much more happens to her. I really enjoyed the audio narration and the audiobook itself. It really did evoke the atmosphere to me of life in the Viking era, and I was wholeheartedly transported there.

De Maupassant really knows how to use language and craft a really engaging and intelligent story. Her book's build up the tension and give us unexpected endings. Nothing seems to be a given in her world. It is brutal, it is not for the faint-hearted, and it is a story of a strong female and her survival in a tough world. This is a really remarkable novel. A definite recommend from me for Viking story enthusiasts.

I did thoroughly enjoy the tale

The change of narrator threw me initially and I had to listen to the prologue and first two chapters twice but that could also been due to my multitasking at the time.
I did thoroughly enjoy the tale and was glad I had read the two previous books so I was more in touch with the heroines mindset. Also I wanted to know more of how the beast coped afterwards too so I hope there is another book for his HEA.
