About this listen

Amor est finis.

Love is the ending.

The Crow

The Obsidian Order demands not just survival but submission.

Every trial, every secret unearthed, binds me deeper to this clandestine world where power is currency and loyalty is conditional.

Yet beneath the surface, a rebellion simmers within me.

And Delilah, my obsession, my bride, is the reason.

I vowed to protect her, to fight for her.

But can I defy the very Order that shaped me?

For my little raptor, I'd take on the world.

Because she is everything.

The Raptor

Freedom was once a simple dream.

Now it's complicated by the web of intrigue and danger spun around me.

Finding Ben was supposed to answer questions, not multiply them.

Not only within reality but within myself.

Xavier, the man whose name is synonymous with both violence and death, has become my protector.

Bound by my contract, we navigate this dark labyrinth together,

except the Bride Hunt was just the beginning.

Now, we must fight not just for our love, but for our very lives.

Vicious Society is book two in The Obsidian Order Duet and completes the story. It contains a stabby FMC and a morally gray hero that's OTT/JP, a stalker who falls first, has Touch Her & Die energy, and is willing to do whatever it takes to keep her.

Contains mature content. A complete list of content warnings can be found on the author's website. Narrated in duet style.

Teddy Hamilton was the best thing about the book

"Kiss me like it’s forever."

Eh...it was okay.

I was looking forward to it as I enjoyed book one, but honestly the conclusion was a let down.

The characters didn't really grow at all, but I wasn't expecting much as it was literally a continuation of book one, from the moment after the cliff hanger.

The plot was going well and i was waiting for a decent action or twisty type conclusion but was frankly let down + it felt rushed and convoluted.

I don't at all understand the relevance or need for the third act medical story - all it did was annoy me and like the FMC even less than I already did. It really felt like page filler as those chapters didn't add anything and just made the FMC feel even weaker than she already was. I found her frustrating and wasn't invested in her at feelings or thoughts at all.

Even Xavier became a little annoying by the end. I'm all there for a possessive MMC, but I don't need to hear about it been few sentences.

The sorry had such great potential but it was rounded off to quickly and easily. A solid 2.5 from me. The narrators did a fantastic job and brought it to life, I adore Teddy Hamilton and his ability to convey emotional levels of the characters he plays, honestly he's the main reason I listened to the end.... (the female narrator was great too..I just didn't like Delilah)
