"Versuchen wir das Unmögliche", dies ist die berühmteste Botschaft Che Guevaras alias Ernesto Guevara La Serna, die zugleich die Lebensweise des Revolutionärs widerspiegelt. Ernesto wird am 14. Juni 1928 in Guatemala geboren. Er beginnt 1952 ein Medizinstudium, da er selbst starkes Asthma hat und armen Menschen helfen möchte. Allerdings wird er diesen Traum nicht in die Tat umsetzen, da er seine beiden, stetig miteinander ringenden Bestrebungen nicht vereinbaren kann: Er will zwar einerseits Menschen helfen, die unter so schrecklichen Krankheiten wie er leiden, aber auch andererseits Größeres erreichen, wie zum Beispiel Tausende aus den Fängen der Diktatur retten.
