The holy scripture was translated in Telugu by Sripada Subrahmanya Sastry. Sripada translated all Khandas (parts) in Telugu in his style. The first one is Bala Khanda. It depicts the story of King Dasaratha, his yagas to have kids, the birth of Rama, Lakshmana, Bharatha, Satrugna.
