The performance of this story was a little lost on me. It was also the first storyline by this author that I wasn’t quite engaged with. A good book but not amazing.

A nice story but not TM’s best..

Out of series this was the least interesting book and should be a side story not part of the series. II purchased incase I missed something important in the series. Female narrator normally good in other narration was not so good. Story line was boring at times and felt fluff was added as all other books have it but meh. If you want to pass on this book you won't miss much

I love the series and have all the others. but yep part of the book is missing although it doesnt make a whole lot of difference to the story. The female narrator is annoying shes almost singing her lines and i had to grit my teeth through a few chapters.

Weeeel, TM Frazier is a great writer and I like all her books, including this one. I was looking forward to Smoke's story, but the story wasn't just what I was hoping it would be. I couldn't finish the book at first, I was a bit bored with the story. I took like 2 months break before I listened to the last hour or so, I sort of had to force myself into it.
Story was good, I just felt like the main characters fell in love a bit too fast and were nicer to each other from the start than I wanted them to be...
It wasn't a bad book, but it wasn't good enough for me to keep it in my library so I returned it.

Don’t know what happened but the narration didn’t match the book. I needed up just reading the book as the narration missed parts in the book.
My first disappointment in An Audible read so not too bad.

This book was great, I love the world of the Lawless and all the characters who live there. Smoke and Frankie fit this world perfect and I loved their story

I got through 3 chapters and couldn’t listen anymore, talking in a sing song voice, very annoying. It’s a shame because I have enjoyed the whole series up until now, can listen to anymore.
