Iconic Kiwi comic, country music, yodelling, lesbian duo – in their own words

Jools and Lynda Topp aka The Topp Twins tell this story in their own words, describing their adventurous lives through laugh-out-loud anecdotes and heartwarming tales.

As well as their long careers as country music stars and comedians, with characters like Camp Mother & Camp Leader and Ken & Ken, the twins have always stood up for their political beliefs and have been embraced by New Zealanders from all walks of life.

Including never-before-told stories, this is a nostalgic and important historic record of the lives of two ground-breaking and inspiring women, and of the times through which they've lived.

These gals are valuable NZ gems. So funny, so authentic and so talented. I've been away from NZ for 27 years and it was a gorgeous trip down memory lane as they described NZ in the 70s, 80s.
I was also very fortunate at the age of 16 to be entertained by the the twins dressed as chooks when they performed live at our communal house 42 St Georges Bay Rd, Parnell, Auckland.
It's beautiful people such as the twins who make this world a better place. Aroha nui. xxx 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Thank you for continuing to create such incredible memories!
