Der Wirtschaftsjournalist David Groman wird beauftragt, einen Bildband zum 50. Jubiläum der Ecoline zu erstellen, bei der er einst angestellt war. Doch es läuft nicht rund. Seiner Kontaktperson wird plötzlich gekündigt, der neue Vorstand droht mit Massenentlassungen, Streiks legen den Betrieb lahm und einige Manager kommen unter ungeklärten Umständen zu Tode. Dann stürzt auch noch ein Flieger bei München ab. Die Ecoline trudelt auf ein finanzielles Desaster zu und Groman gerät mitten hinein in diesen Strömungsabriss. Eine Geschichte nah am Möglichen, wie sie nur ein Airliner erzählen kann.
