If you can push yourself through the first male narrated chapter without wanting to stick a fork your ear you’re there for the story. Story was good and strong female character helped. Now which bars to go to, to find my own Magnus 🤔

This was an enjoyable story. I just can’t get past the narration though. For starters it’d be significantly better if it was a duet, but the narrators just aren’t fabulous at doing the opposite genders lines.
Story was good! Just not a fan of the narration.

this was the worst, most painful narration I've ever heard. It is so horrific it's a DNF for me. I usually don't say anything if I don't have something nice to say but I have to warn people not to waste their time. like fingernails on a chalkboard. the voices of the side characters was appalling. The male actor was so vicious in his pronunciation it felt I was being spat on with every word.

I honestly am not keen on this book, I’m not sure if it’s the writing or the narration.

The internal monologues were long and boring, the constant retelling of what happened in the beginning of the book had me skipping through.

The relationships with the men were clunky and I was not feeling the connection. And to reply ‘the feeling is mutual’ when one of the MMC’s told the FMC he loved her. It solidified my feeling of a lack of connection.

The FMC holding a grudge about one of the MMC’s having to move away from her when he was a child was ridiculous. And where is the FMC’s story. We hear the MMC who moved away from her as a teen; helped her through her tough times. What were those tough times? There was no way to connect to the FMC.

All round I was pretty disappointed and struggled to get through the book.
