Publisher's Summary

Kyle Vaughn had three goals in life: become a vet, find the man of his dreams, and start a family. He easily checked off the first item on the list when he took over his grandfather's veterinary practice. Too bad he wasn't as lucky in love.

Chaz Hamilton took a leap of faith when he decided to pursue a career in writing, but one best seller didn't mean he could quit his day job. All work and no play threatened to make Chaz a very dull man when the only romantic action he saw was in the pages of his manuscript. Too bad he couldn't write his own happily every after.

Circumstances pushed the two men together, and one magical kiss beneath fireworks and stars changed everything. Kyle knew his luck had finally turned around and Chaz found a man far better than any book boyfriend ever written. There was just one problem. Chaz has kept a secret from Kyle that could ruin their chance at a beautiful life together.

Kyle and Chaz learn that the best-laid plans often go awry, the heart has a mind of its own, and the greatest love is unscripted. Contains mature themes.

So good but read about Gabe n Josh first!

I loved this book and Aimee's humor had me laughing at every turn. I enjoyed the journey with Chaz and Kyle and have to admit to swooning emphatically over Kyle being the perfect book boyfriend. I loved the ups and downs, tension and sex but I have to say as this was my first Aimee Nicole Walker book I was a bit lost at points surrounding the other characters. I felt like I was totally missing something and felt like these characters were part of a second love story I should already know about. I'm not sure what drive me to this book first but from my experience I'd recommend reading Josh and Gabe's story first so your can truly embrace this love story properly.

Painful Chaz didn’t deserve sweetheart Kyle …

I’m completely on the fence about this “I can’t tell my boyfriend my big secret, so I’ll continually confuse and hurt him” romance. A hairdresser and budding author, Chaz Hamilton falls for hunky vet Kyle Vaughn (aka Dr Dimples). For some reason, Chaz successfully pursues Kyle anonymously through an online gaymer platform only to ghost him when Kyle suggests they meet in person. Chaz then successfully pursues Kyle in person only to reject him again because he can’t tell Kyle he’s the guy who ghosted him. Ugh! I get that Chaz is impulsive but this torturing behaviour seems unnecessarily cruel. I also struggled with the writing style, the characters narrate a lot of the action and I kept waiting for the dialogue to kick in, but there wasn’t that much on balance. So why don’t I just hate it? Well basically, Kyle is very sweet and Chaz has some pretty funny lines (delivered with pizzazz by Joel Leslie on audio). It was just entertaining enough to keep me hooked and the rest of the series won’t focus on Chaz (most of which is currently free on the Audible Plus catalogue).
