Not up to par

I was so excited to get the latest Patricia Cornwell book about her most famous character in the Scarpetta series.
I felt that the story was worth listening to however it just didn’t have that exciting, action packed ending that I have come to love about Patricia Cornwell & the Scarpetta books.
Having said that it was still a ok book and Patricia Cornwell is forever a great writer.

It was alright.

I stopped reading this author for a bit, found it too annoying but gave this one a go and it was fine. Scarpetta sounds a touch more paranoid than before but that's age for you, lol.

Struggled with this story

I found myself trying to piece this story together, but found it somewhat disjointed and did not flow.
This does not stop me from downloading other books by Patricia Cornwall as she remains a classy writer

Nothing

I’ve read or listened to all of the Kay Scarpetta novels and sadly to say, I didn’t find this to be one of Patricia Cornell’s best.
I found it to be a bit drawn out and almost unfinished.

Boring

I kept waiting for something to actually happen, but unfortunately the story meandered along, with plenty of navel-gazing but very little going on. I’m still not really sure of the point of most of the plot, except as a vehicle for showcasing the latest in international war gadgets.
The return of a past nemesis was unnecessary to the story, so I’m not sure of it’s reason. Maybe it will play out next book? I’m just not sure I can be bothered finding out.

It went absolutely nowhere

Completely overacted and underwhelming! The story went nowhere. I can’t believe I pushed through to the end.
That’s a few hours I’ll never get back
