I was so excited to get the latest Patricia Cornwell book about her most famous character in the Scarpetta series.
I felt that the story was worth listening to however it just didn’t have that exciting, action packed ending that I have come to love about Patricia Cornwell & the Scarpetta books.
Having said that it was still a ok book and Patricia Cornwell is forever a great writer.

Not up to par

I stopped reading this author for a bit, found it too annoying but gave this one a go and it was fine. Scarpetta sounds a touch more paranoid than before but that's age for you, lol.

It was alright.

This book was disappointing as the storyline just plodded along, and the ending was a let down.
I also didn't like the narrator and the way she made Pete Marino sound constantly angry. I didn't picture Marino as being constantly angry when I read some of these books years ago. A bit of a grump yes, but not angry. I prefer the narrator Lorelei King, of Cornwell's earlier books than this narrator.

Not the worst but not the best
