Publisher's Summary

Vampires can’t levitate. At least that’s what Dante Gabriel always thought, until he finds himself floating above his bed along with his lover, Erin Hamilton. As he continues to exhibit unusual powers, more memories from his time in captivity surface, leaving him fearing what he might have done while imprisoned. When a new and unexpected temptation arises, he finds himself unable to resist.

Erin aches for Dante and wants more than anything for him to find peace. As they uncover clue after clue in their attempt to find the missing women and solve the puzzle of Dante’s past, she is more determined than ever to put an end to their struggle, even if it means putting herself in harm’s way.

After an ominous visit with Bea, the voodoo priestess, Dante knows what he must do, and he must do it alone. First, though, he will make Erin truly his and take the sustenance he needs to get him through his next battle. But will his love for her be enough to save him when his nemesis is finally unmasked?

getting more interesting as it goes along.

both narrators do a good job of voicing the different characters. story keeps you on your toes and hard to decipher the mystery. fun to see how theories pan out.

Story sucks

This story sucks big time. The plot is decent, but the story is so slow. In the past 12 books all that has happened is the guy vamp has escaped a dungeon/prison where he was held captive, met a girl he loves, drake with dumb family drama and is going back to the prison to save his sister and uncle. Oh and a lot of very graphic and terrible sex scenes. The main characters are awful. The girl is whiny and dumb, the guy is a narcisit. The author tried to write about a sub/dom sexual partnership, but failed miserably as the dom is more of a rapist who feels like he owns his gf. The sub girl just seems too dumb to realize that the relationship is unhealthy and her bf is more into getting what he wants and pretending that he is a good guy.

long strange trip getting boring

This is getting monotonous. Too much time spent on Dante's and Erin's head trips.Too long, so I switched to audible. I can listen to it when I'm doing chores.

Holy Cliff hanger!!

Holy Cliff Hanger, but the next book is out so I get to start reading it right away! I think we all knew who the bad guy was in the first few books so im glad the author finally stopped dragging it out. I felt like Erin was too smart not to put this all together. I really hope it ends good though.

It just keeps getting better

This series just keeps getting better and better. The last part of the series sort of dragged leading up to this one, and this one you can tell, the buildup is huge, getting ready for the conclusion. I've fast become a huge Helen Hardt fan and I need to read all her stuff because if it's anything likethese I'm gonna love them as much. Great narration, great story. If you like your vampires dark, and mysterious, and you like that New Orleans vibe, you're gonna love these. Happy reading yall.

Lots of Verbal Angst

For the most part, this is still a good series with some wonderful twists and turns in this 4th triplet. I even like the quotable Bea from the greats of literature, but what slows the story down for me is the arguing back and forth of things that to me are obvious between characters, especially when they've already had a similar discussion before. And usually it's in the recent past.
Finally, Dante remembers that his demise is not his alone. Seriously, I know he's young, but that's a pertinent memory to recall.
I'm not saying the slowed-down angst will prevent me from moving forward in the storyline. No, especially since I've already bought the next in the series. Get real! I'm hooked. And a good vampire story is something I can't put down.
The twists and turns remind me somewhat of The Vampire Chronicles, but not entirely.
no spoiler alerts here, just a story that needs a bit more speed between characters.

Getting hooked

Definitely drawn into the story. Wish I could just listen to the story instead of the characters though...particularly Erin. Over her.

SAME material for 4 books now!

I almost wish I had the series in print so that I can count how many times the same information is repeated. Really? Is she a nurse? If only we were informed more about how she’s a nurse.
This is my first experience of this author and the story could have been so good if only she would have not dragged it out and came up with a new dialogue. Does she always write this lazy? I imagine a lot of copy and pasting going on. They’ve been saying the same shit for four books now! Such a disappointment!!!! It’s free with audible escape, but save yourself the time!

The Saga Continues...

"The AWESOME Saga Continues"

The Blood Bond Saga continues in "Unmasked" written by Helen Hardt. I've been so drawn in by this paranormal writings that have been created by Ms. Hardt. She has a detailed descriptive mind, wild imaginative thoughts that has you drawn in deep following the storyline.

A lot of secrets and lies are revealed. Erin and Jay's mother makes a surprise visit with a book that shocks every one. Dante and Erin has a strange visitor and Dante makes a decision that doesn't include Erin.

John Lane and Lauren Rowe continues as the duet narrators for this Awesome Paranormal Series! They deliver a GREAT PERFORMANCE with their joined voice tones.

I do recommend this series to others who are into paranormal romance.
