Publisher's Summary

Alvin was happy to finally give Gothy one of the things she’d been begging for all along - a plane.

So, he was understandably upset when it died in its first, short-lived flight as they helped the Red River Army Depot fend off a horde of zombies from Dallas.

Gothy was happy to get a replacement for the plane, however, and the armored vehicle sporting a BIG gun pleased Alvin as well. With the Bradley Fighting Vehicle in their possession, he couldn’t help but wonder what could possibly be a real challenge in the future.

Alvin made the decision that they would all take a few days to learn what the Bradley was capable of before they ventured further east. Its Bushmaster gun delivered a hell of a kick to anything with armor, though Alvin wondered how they could acquire TOW missiles or high-explosive ammunition to boost their damage even more.

After Alvin and his group wiped a miniboss out without so much as breaking a sweat, Alvin should have been expecting more changes to the game he now inhabited. After all, he seemed to be a nexus of Dev-elopments as the game went on.

This book contains adult situations, in all their horror and glory, including but not limited to sex, abuse, drug use, and murder. It also contains graphic sex scenes, which portray elements of BDSM and harem. You've been warned.

It's pronounced He-low not Hello!

Helo, the abbreviation for helicopter, is pronounced 'he-low' not 'hello'. This is the correct military pronunciation that has been used for generations, how did the voice actors not know this? It's the only thing I couldn't stand about the book.

Love the series

I love the series and generally love Tess Irondale as a narrator. Two small things Tess Irondale needs to address moving forward. First, the word Helo, (short for helicopter) is not pronounced hello. It’s pronounced He low. The UMP is not pronounced as a word but the letters are used. As in U, M, P. I know those are minor issues but every time she says hello instead of he low, my eye twitches.

get the series

Daniel Schinhofen spins a great tale, especially if you like gamelit and harems.

Also, I'd listen to Tess Irondale read the NYC phone book, and be happier for it.

Military

Great book. Only complaint was the way the military was described. Each branch is vastly different on how bases are ran, and are a lot more like MC in the asshole make fun kind of way. Also Nellis doesn’t have Huey’s which are smaller than what the do have. HH-60’s or Pave Hawks.

Awesomeness incarnate!

Once again a wonderfully fun ride. A hearty thanks to the author and all the hard work he put into this series.

in addition, an interesting side note for Mr. Schinhofen. I just retired, finishing my 20 year tour in the Army. Ironically, and in symmetry with your story I started out on the M2A2 Bradley in Baumhoulder Germany. Then went on to reclass to Blackhawk helicopters and work directly with the H-1 Huey as well.

A great book

The storyline continues to develop and the banter only gets better. There is a increase and a future lost to the family. The world is being explored with many twists and turns. But yet they have not found the one thing they have been searching for.
Tess does a great job bringing the characters to life. She gives each one a unique personality!
