Amazing, hilarious and occasionally poignant continuing story of Catherine and Lauren from The Red Files. So many enriching pockets of revelation about the characters and, as usual, an intriguing background story. Very well narrated, too.

This book has a very different feel than is predecessor, The Red Files. There is a lot more heart, and for me, Catherine finally makes sense. The journalists are just as busy with a new mystery to unravel and the cast of characters is a lot of fun.

Here we have another incredibly complex plot from the mind of writer Lee Winter. It bursts forth from the once science fiction pages to one of present and future possibilities. A reminder of how the world can be a scary place and we need to be always vigilant, so that the Orwellian scenarios do not indeed become fact. This one involves the loss of privacy for all of the people of the United States. Maybe even, in the future, the world - if this nefarious scheme comes to fruition. Catherine Ayes and Lauren King are this time situated in Lauren’s home in Iowa, where they’re planning their wedding. Enter arch enemy Stephanie/Michele Hastings at the Iowa show. This sets them on a course of family betrayal, disappointment and finally redemption when the truth is revealed. Jump on board for a bumpy ride!
