Good story bad audio
I enjoyed this story but the audio was glitchy and jumped quite a bit, and the voice was really grating after a while. This would have been so much better with someone else reading it. But as it is, it's put me off getting any more in this series as I don't want to listen to her reading it.

story A+ narration C-
Love this story but I was disappointed with the narration. From Bella's standpoint it was good as she is young but for the males in the series there was no masculine depth to it. They sounded very young , almost babyish. There are other narrators that can do exceptional male and female voices so it would have been great to have that contrast in this series. It would have made a huge difference to the overall enjoyment.

OK
The story line was great, it feels like one of those books that just keeps on getting better as the series evolves. The audio recording was sometimes choppy but for the main part nice and smooth. The narrator was ok but it was hard to distinguish between what was spoken out loud and what was only thought, it was also hard to distinguish between characters at times. Other than that it was pretty good but in this instance I think the book would be better then the audio reading.

The narrator and quality are terrible
Twilight is an ok book. Good for a light read probably better for a teen than adults. The narrator however was bad there was no real voice change when different characters were speaking so you can’t tell someone else is speaking till until it’s pointed out to you with words. The recording itself is bad it has static, jumps, it breaks up, repeats particularly towards the end you know when things are being explained questions answered. Twilight made millions they can afford a decent audio book especially since it’s one of the more expensive both kindle and audible.

takes me back to my childhood
I love these books and read midnight sun recently. I really wanted to reread the original series. The narrator though... No shade to her but I just couldn't get past how she read the story. I know the writing of the first book is not the best but damn, I definitely would have preferred a narrator who could do characters better. someone who didn't sound like they were a student reading out loud in a high school English class...

The story is alright and the performance is a little bad in some places but overall it is ok. The worse part however is that the audiobook seems to skip in places. This happened on different devices in the same place. Chapter 14 was a particularly bad section for the skipping.
