Not My Favorite

I was so excited to see there was a new book available. It took me a while to get into the story and as it progressed all I can say is something wasn’t right. Sorry to be vague but I can’t exactly put my finger on it. Bella was a nice enough character but I never really warmed up to her. The sister was the villain but all of her evil doings were in hindsight or irrelevant to the story. And the husband, what little first person interaction between he and his wife was not flattering. We learn later he was actually a good guy from friends. The narrator who is as wonderful as always saved me from returning it. Looking forward to the next one and hopefully whatever It is I’m looking for will be there.

Terrible book

I should have listened to reviews on this book. It wasn’t anything like her other books. A waste of time.

Disappointed

I have loved the Sisterhood books since the first. I have been waiting eagerly for this one. I was disappointed for a couple reasons. The sisters were not the stars of this book. There was very little planning and interaction by the group, and no satisfying comeuppance for the villain. Annie and Mira have most of the dialogue, but stay behind because they don't move as fast anymore. Apparently, since their pardon, they don't keep in shape anymore. I liked it so much better when they were in shape and involved instead of whining about their age. Also, the narrator sounded as old and tired as Annie and Mira.

Fern Has Done It Again!

As usual, another Sisterhood hit. I've read this series more than once, except for the more recent titles, and I get caught up every time. I love these women and the way they take on the "tough guys". It's been so much fun to get to know these characters and to watch them grow through the years. I've had many, many happy hours solving crimes with this incredible group of women!
