I rarely leave negative reviews, but the narration of this audiobook was extremely disappointing. It felt completely mismatched for a work of fiction. Instead of bringing the story and characters to life, the delivery came across as flat and overly formal—more like listening to a business or instructional book than an engaging narrative.
There was little variation in tone, pacing, or emotion, making it difficult to stay immersed in the story. Dialogue lacked distinction between characters, and key moments that should have carried weight simply fell flat.
I’ve purchased many audiobooks on Audible, and this is by far the weakest narration I’ve come across for a fiction title.
Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend this audiobook in its current form.
