Struggled to listen to this audiobook because how monotonous the narrators were. Story is ok, perhaps would have been better reading it instead

Decent story, terrible narrators

The person reading for Tess sounded robotic and became painful to listen to, had to switch to kindle to finish the book :-(. Disappointed

I rather enjoyed the story so a waded through this book. However, the performance was dreadful, and I often felt myself cringing. While there were moments some emotion or cadence where heard, most of the story had an extremely monotonous speech pattern and tone. Coupled with it sounding like a 5 year was learning to read, complete with stilted phases between words, no emotion or fluctuation of tone, it was extremely hard to listen to. I won't be getting any more.
