About this listen

What does dating the boss + meddling ex-wife + most adorable three-year-old ever equal? Trouble in Loveland.

At 17, Charlee Jensen packed her bags and left her beloved hometown of Loveland, swearing she would never have anything to do with the men that left her heartbroken: her father, the man who taught her heroes can fall; and Ryan Carter, her much older neighbor and teenage crush.

Now eight years later, Charlee has two degrees she never wanted and no job prospects, forcing her to swallow her pride and come home to work for her father's accounting firm - the same firm where newly divorced Ryan Carter is now a partner.

But trouble starts to stir when Ryan realizes the girl next door is all grown up and completely smitten with his adorable three-year-old. Ryan finds it hard to resist his beautiful, yet annoyingly charming neighbor and coworker, but is torn between his feelings and trying to keep the peace with his ex-wife, the mother of his child. It's a recipe for trouble. Will Charlee and Ryan find the formula for success?

This story made me angry or frustrated.... She is surrounded by too many narcissistic characters, Ryan is a cowardly douche who gaslights and is always apologizing for bad behavior but never actually behaves better and she just keeps forgiving him because looks sexy (eye roll). a better ending would have her walking away from the lot of them starting again and finding someone who would treat her better.
However the descriptor "Peed in Cheerios" makes me laugh out loud, but I am not sure what the look is.. is it disgust for eating them or evil satisfaction for the act. Both kinda work for the red head. it's kinda stolkhom syndrome.

this is NOT a happily ever after tale!

This story would have been great if it weren’t for the poor choices of the main male character.

Too many chances

Cute story was a little fustrating when the main characters wouldn’t communicate but the story and dynamics were really well told. Won’t change your world but will make you smile. Love the narrator she is great!
