I quite enjoyed this story, it's certainly a departure from my normal genre. The characters are fun and I loved the way the narrator brought the story to life. The mystery is developing nicely. Looking forward to the next instalment.

I like the premise and I was certainly excited to read/listen to the next instalment. However upon starting the next audio it was very obvious the narrator has changed and Holly is terrible for this series. She is too upbeat and talks to fast and doesn’t do justice to the characters. I feel disconnected and like I have just started a new series. Finn was softly spoken and thoughtful and the original narrator was fantastic. Now I feel like I’m being yelled at in an upbeat tone and being rushed through the story… Holly narrates this like it’s a rom-com at fast forward speed and no breathes between sentences. Which to be fair I think Holly would be great for. I went through to look at who the narrator is for the rest of the books and unfortunately it is holly. Not sure I can now continue…. This is ruined for me. Sara if you read these comments I think it advantageous you redo this audio books with Julia. Or if not someone other than Holly Jackson.

This book is a great fantasy read. I was hooked from the start and devoured every word. A great read, I really enjoyed it.
