There is a very good reason that this story has lasted through the generations as a classic tale of piracy and adventure. Suited to children and adults alike. Fantastic performance too.

I can see why this is the staple pirate adventure and coming of age story. It certainly feels that way with all the iconic ingredients of the recipe. It's easy to listen with no unnecessary over-worded paragraphs like most classics from this time era and I appreciated the episodic style and action-driven plot. I think it would be unfair for me to say it was a bit simple considering this is the famous adventure that started them all and even after all this time, this book still leaves an impression and teaches any age how to face the world full of fears, dreams and challenge.
