Publisher's Summary

A Sunday Times best seller.

The ninth gripping thriller in the classic Dirk Pitt series, where the adventurer finds himself in a deadly battle against the darkest forces of international terrorism.

On behalf of a grateful nation I wish to thank you for this astonishing gift....

The President of the United States had reason to be grateful. Dirk Pitt had unearthed the greatest storehouse of knowledge in the ancient world: the Alexandria Library.

The trail began in a lonely fjord in Greenland. It ended on the banks of the Rio Grande. In between Pitt had frustrated an assassination, rescued a hijacked liner, survived a deadly gun battle and halted an invasion.

A gripping, action-packed story by a master of the craft.

Awesome first read of Cussler. However the end lost my interest

It was great right through. It felt real and it hooked me for many sessions. But the end seemed to lose me - it felt a bit far fetched and I was asking myself “what/where did all this come from? And how is that even possible and the last 30 minutes could have been more realistic. Worth reading though :)

The excessice profanity was not needed.

I love all Clive's books. But this is one you can not listen to with kids in the car. I was really surprised . His books are usually clean . There are a few of us that have not accepted profamity as normal comminication. I hope he drops the bad language.

RIP Clive Cussler

One of CC best novels. Right up there with Inca Gold, Sahara, and Raise The Titanic.

Far fetched plot

Like most Dirk Pitt novels, finding the Alexandria Library is far fetched but doesn’t detract from the excitement of trying to figure out how Dirk & Al will save the day & themselves. Scott Brick is my favorite narrator.

Awesome

Loved it! It had me guessing chapter after chapter as what was going to happen next and how Dirk was going to figure a way out of any situation. Scott Brick has the ability to narrate any of Clive Cussler books with clarity and emotion that draws you into each character.

English?

Great story, but wasn't Cluve Cussler born in Aurora, Il? Why use so much British/Metric nomenclature?

Every man wants to be Dirk Pitt

The 9th book in the Dirk Pitt series. Every book leaves you smarter than the last. I’m re-reading all 25 books to remember the man. RIP Clive Cussler.

A Great NUMA Ship/Train/Plane Ride !

Suspend reality for a few hours to experience one of the best Cussler action tales. You’ll go from The top of the world to the bottom and from Egypt to Mexico with several other stops along the way. The action never stops. Of course, Scott Brick will be your guide in his usual 5 star performance. Dirk gets the girls... again !
