Story
Imagine you're sitting on a cushion with your legs crossed, ready to tap into unlimited joy. There's just one problem: You can't get comfortable (let alone still), and your head is full of way too many thoughts. The problem is not with meditation, or you, though - the issue may be with your approach. When properly understood and practiced, meditation should feel easy, calming, and comfortable. In Bliss More, maverick instructor Light Watkins provides the tools for making it E.A.S.Y. (Embrace, Accept, Surrender, Yield).

There is a war on for your mind. We are endlessly confronted by those who would manipulate us – advertisers, pick-up artists, politicians, big tech, cult leaders and many more – even the humble waiter who asks, ‘Still or sparkling?’ All forms of communication are designed to persuade you in some way. Politicians and nudge units manipulate us into agreeing with controversial policies. Adverts tell us to buy lots of this, but none of that. The news tells us what to care about. Charities compete for our support. Social media buffets us with algorithms.

Story
The modern world can be a complicated, frenzied, and noisy place, filled with too many options, products, ideas and opinions. That explains why what many of us long for is simplicity: a life that can be more pared down, peaceful, and focused on the essentials. But finding simplicity is not always easy; it isn’t just a case of emptying out our closets or trimming back commitments in our diaries. True simplicity requires that we understand the roots of our distractions – and develop a canny respect for the stubborn reasons why things can grow complex and overwhelming.

Story
Whether in lake, lido, river or sea, we know the benefits of swimming outdoors and in nature—environmentally friendly and accessible, it can influence our happiness, our energy and our inner tranquillity. Winter Swimming takes this one step further, as contact with cold water all year round can also have a significant positive impact on our physical health, confidence and well-being. Danish scientist Susanna Søberg leads us step by step into the icy water and explains the 'cold-shock response', the massive endorphin rush as our body reacts and adapts.

Publisher's Summary
Discover Spiritual Minimalism: the “inside-out” path to getting rid of inner clutter and living a more fulfilled life.
Everywhere you look, people in all walks of life are “going minimalist” and getting rid of their possessions. Yet as exciting as it can be to throw out half of your belongings, does it really bring happiness? As Light Watkins says: “If you’re unhappy now, becoming a minimalist isn’t likely to change that… unless you do the inner work to cultivate happiness on the inside.”
Light is famous for taking minimalism to the extreme—and now lives his whole life out of a single backpack. In Travel Light, he shares his surprising revelation that being a “spiritual minimalist” means you don’t focus on material objects. What matters more than clearing out your closets is how much trust you have in your inner guidance. “Spiritual Minimalism is not about how much physical stuff you have,” he says. “It’s about how you communicate, incorporate service into your life, exercise, cook, clean, and express your love.”
Light shares his unique inside-out approach to minimalism using stories, anecdotes, and vignettes, along with real-world experiments and exercises that you can adapt to your own life.
Here you’ll learn how to:
Prioritize and cultivate inner happiness
• Make the most important decisions from your heart
• Get comfortable in the discomfort
• Live as though there are no throwaway moments
• Tap in to your curiosity as a gateway to your true path
• The “freedom of choicelessness”—decluttering your life decisions
You’ll be invited to discover the joy of giving what you want to receive; following your curiosity; and living with a “clutter-free” approach to your choices, values, and life purpose. Implementing the principles of Spiritual Minimalism will get you aligned with your values and lead you to a life-changing adventure!

Short and to the point
Light’s last book changed the way I meditate and this book reaffirmed many of my current practices and beliefs. This audiobook also challenged me to stray outside my comfort zone in a few new ways. Light narrates perfectly with his tone of voice and by sharing his personal journey to help elucidate his views and suggestions. I highly recommend giving the audiobook a listen! Namaste.
