Exciting, clever, well written sequel
The is book 2 of a trilogy. Definitely read book one first!
I love this series, I found this for the sympathetic Lesbian representation, but as a thriller it's as good as the best and better than most IMHO. I was kept guessing and the plot is complex enough to be interesting but not too silly.
I loved the insight into Iceland life, their banking collapse and how that affected everyone.
The two main female characters were believable and though certainly flawed, were likable and easy to route for, despite their dubious choices sometimes.
The translation of this was also very good. Sometimes these Scandinavian books have grating translations, which jar, but I was surprised to hear it was not written in English... So, kudos the translator!
The reader is also excellent... No idea how good her pronunciation of Icelandic words was, but she sounded like she'd done some research...
Generally excellent! Onto book three!
