About this listen

In this steamy cowboy romance, a grumpy ranch owner and a sunny horse trainer must learn to work together—the second novel in the Silver Pines Ranch series.

Wade Ashby doesn't let anyone in. With the death of his father and his failed marriage, plus the weight of the family business on his shoulders, Wade has plenty to deal with. He thrives on being the one constant and steady thing in his family's life and on their ranch, Silver Pines.

Ivy Spencer knows two things for certain: Animals make better friends than people, and she can only count on herself. After a turbulent childhood and a string of bad luck since, Ivy is excited to start fresh at Silver Pines Ranch and live out her dream of training a racehorse en route to the Kentucky Derby.

Wade needs help on the ranch, but with two entirely different views on how to train his star horse, it makes absolutely no sense why he allows her to stay on. She's chaos, and he's control, but it doesn't take long for the levee to break and their passion to ignite.

Ivy and Wade. Great characters and love the story. Who doesn't love a good Cowboy story. Highly Recommended

4.5 stars

This book was amazing! It is grumpy/ sunshine perfection. I couldn’t stop reading! The narrators did so good!

Wade and Ivy! I loved there dynamic so much! They fought the good fight in their attraction for each other, but alas their chemistry was too charged! They had amazing banter, and the forced proximity of it all had me squealing! I loved that they had similar problems from the past and how they helped each other. The way their relationship blossoms is really beautiful, but also insanely hott and kinky 😮‍💨
Paisley sure knows how to write the spice!

Again loved all the family and friends, how close they all are and harass each other. It’s such an amazing book that even got me tearing up! So looking forward to the next one!

I LOVED this book!!
I loved the first one too but enjoyed this even more!
I love the two narrators. 5 stars for their performance!
I definitely enjoyed it more having some space between listening between books though, as it is the same narrators as book 1 but this book is two different POVs so I had associated the voices with those initial characters. But having some spaces between reads fixed that.
Loved the one bed trope
Loved the grumpy sunshine trope
5 spicy rating too

Better than book 1!!

Why the heck do you switch the man’s voice when Ivy talks it’s terrible and ruins the story telling… I hate it it’s like suddenly Sarg turns into an old man with a croaky female voice… it’s ridiculous and totally ruins the story telling … the actual males voice is brilliant …
