Dazu sandte der König seine Feldherrn aus: Teja, Guntharis, Grippa, Markja, Aligern, während er selbst zu Rom die schwere, die staatsmännische Aufgabe übernahm, das durch langjährigen Krieg und Aufstand zerrüttete Reich zu beruhigen, neu zu ordnen, beinahe neu zu gründen.
