Beware - this is a new release but not a new title
Any additional comments?
I was excited by a new release but very quickly realised this wasn't a new book - talk of floppy disks got me digging and it's actually from 1997 so a lot of the technology is totally outdated (kind of amusing but also disappointing when you think you're listening to something fresh and it's 20 year's old!). The narration is the worst of any Baldacci novel i've listened to (intonation is repetitive) and the writing is average. It's entertaining & I'm continuing to listen to it but it wasn't what I was expecting.

Truly awful performance
I want my money back. The reader of this story has a truly awful cadence, rising quickly and dropping his tone, oblivious to the natural rhythm of a sentence. Sometimes we get two cadences in a sentence for no obvious reason. It ruins the story. Don’t you vet your readers before you sell them to us?

Shame About The Newsreader
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
Generally, yes. Baldacci is a good story-teller.
Would you be willing to try another one of Jonathan Marosz’s performances?
No. He read it like a newsreader and made it very difficult to get into the pace of the narrative, as it just plodded on and on. Surely his producer/director should have corrected this.
