About this listen

Solitary confinement, mental and physical torture, extreme hunger and bitter cold—these were the daily realities for Pastor Richard Wurmbrand during his combined 14 years of imprisonment in Communist Romania. Richard's crime, like that of thousands of others, was his fervent faith in Jesus Christ and his outspoken witness to the grace and love of God. In Tortured for Christ, Richard shares the inspiring story of his faithful discipleship amid Communist oppression and his powerful witness of Christ's love and forgiveness even before his persecutors.

Known as "the book that shocked the world," Tortured for Christ is a timeless, bestselling account of courageous faith, unbelievable endurance, and inspiring forgiveness that continues to encourage new generations of Christians.

All you have to do is substitute Communism for woke ideology and the parallels are identical. People in former Western democracies are being persecuted and even jailed for speaking the obvious truths, such as humans have only two genders. Former safe spaces such as churches and universities have become places where even children will be murdered by the left. We need to be prepared to proclaim the gospel boldly and pay the ultimate price if that is required of us. It will be interesting to see if my support for this book is censored or cancelled by the woke minions at Amazon.
