Publisher's Summary

Awake and asleep, Tom has increasingly different lives. Awake he is a climber, scaling the cliffs by Tower Rock; and asleep, he finds himself in a vivid dream-world where he is the carrier, responsible for a strange and beautiful child, and forever in search of the elusive Sleeper. Tom can no longer dismiss his night journeys as just dreams once his sleeping and waking lives start to merge. The real-life versions of characters in Tom's dream-world start to fall into inexplicable, deathlike comas, and Tom realizes that his two lives are heading towards an inevitable collision. Tom doesn't know what will happen next, but he is certain of one thing: it's all terrifyingly out of his control.

Critic Reviews

"Narrator Francis Greenslade is wonderfully eerie in this atmospheric thriller in which the hero's waking and dreaming lives converge when he finds himself the protector of a magic child. Greenslade's throaty Aussie accent is perfectly suited for this brooding tale. His turn as omniscient narrator is especially strong, setting the tone for the thrills and chills to come. As Tom, the story's hero, Greenslade offers only slight variation from his standard delivery, a shift so subtle yet appealing that it's wonderful. The pace of the story lies in Greenslade's unwavering voice, and he knows exactly how to control it to best effect. The resulting tale is unsettling, to say the least." ( AudioFile Magazine)
