About this listen

When Tilda Finch is diagnosed with invisibility, she's not overly surprised—she's felt invisible for years. She has a good life and a successful business called This Is A Sign, selling inspirational quotes on merchandise. But she's never really recovered from her divorce. Or, if she's honest, her childhood. Tilda's past has taken a toll and she's lost sight of herself. Now, with the possibility of completely disappearing, she must face the trauma of her past and rewrite the way she perceives the world, and herself. Along the way, she meets a blind man who sees her more clearly than almost everyone in her life…

Entertaining, hilarious and poignant, Tilda Is Visible addresses the power of our thoughts and how childhood trauma shapes our adult experience. For fans of Toni Jordan and Liane Moriarty.

Ella James's narration is what got me through this one, but it's about 3 hours too long and just can't stop being super preachy instead of just telling the story

Mostly fine

I liked the premise and the book started well but quickly deteriorated into a menopause analogy with a weird meditation obsession (explained in author's note at the en
d).

At the beginning of the book I was utterly confused. But as I progressed, everything became clearer (or rather - visible). Thank you for writing a thoughtful and ‘call to action’ book Jane Tara, I vow to be visible.

Intended or not the the likeness to perimenopause was a wonderful metaphor. The exploration into self quite a journey.

Loved it.
