Enjoyed the story but there are major audio issues - in at least one full chapter there is an overlay of the narrator recording other parts of the book and talking in between takes that makes it unlistenable

Absolutely adored this book. Narration was brilliant other than an error with an overlapping voice over late in the book that lasted for half a chapter. The storyline is unique in many ways and cliche in others. I really enjoyed it.

this book was everything i needed, it reminded me why i love carley fortune and her books just hit all the right notes for me. sorry not sorry. the romance between lucy and felix was so tender and magnetic. they truly felt like soul mates, and while there was some lack of communication, it made sense—they were young and scared of risking so much. lucy’s pain and her fear of losing her best friend added so much weight to her choices. the focus on female friendship was beautiful, bringing an emotional depth that anchored the story. the setting of prince edward island felt so vivid and real, it made me want to pack my bags. this was such a memorable read and will definitely be a forever reread. add it to your summer list!
