I haven’t listened to a Karen Slaughter book for ages and after this one I realised what a disservice I have done to myself.
Her raw, sensitive and sometimes painful to listen to family drama dragged me in boots and laces to the point where I would take the long way home from my grocery shopping just to listen to more chapters despite being turned into an insomniac when listening at night. Not to forget the considerate without going overboard narration really enhanced KS’s story to the end. Can’t wait for more of Will and Sara. 🥺
