திருவரங்கன் உலா என்பது மாலிக் கபூர் தலைமையிலான தில்லி சுல்தான் முகம்மது பின் துக்ளக்கின் படைகள் திருவரங்கத்தினை கொள்ளையடித்த வரலாற்று உண்மை சம்பவத்தினை அடிப்படையாக் கொண்டு ஸ்ரீவேணுகோபாலன் என்பவர் எழுதிய நாவலாகும். நாவலின் முதல் பாகம் திருவரங்கன் உலா என்றும், இரண்டாம் பாகம் மதுரா விஜயம் என்றும் வெளிவந்துள்ளது. இசுலாமிய படையெடுப்பில் கொள்ளையடிக்கப்படாமல் காக்க அரங்கநாதரின் உற்சவர் சிலையை வைணவர்கள் பல்வேறு இடங்களுக்கு கொண்டு சென்று பாதுகாத்தனர். இவ்வாறு, திருவரங்கத்திலிருந்து சென்ற அரங்கனின் சிலை மீண்டும் திருவரங்கத்தினை அடைந்ததை திருவரங்கன் உலா என்று நாவலுக்குப் பெயரி்டடுள்ளார்.
