Horrible!!!

I usually like what Pepper Winters writes. There better be a fourth book! Because the ending sucks! If she doesn’t write a fourth book save your money because it is not even worth starting this series!

Not as believable as others

I love PW’s writing and stories - Debt Inheritance is my favorite series. Here, the main plot is great, however, subplots related to Sully’s character traits are odd to me, namely his extreme affinity for animals to the exclusion of humans. His capacity for such deep love is inconsistent with his stunted emotional state. I understand trust issues but this goes to the max degree. Also, at least one of his major decisions seems unreasonable and unlikely under the circumstances. The narration was great! I would recommend this book for established fans. I encourage new readers to begin with another PW series.

Solid 4 stars

Diving into book 4❤️❤️ This series is pretty good, my fav will always be the Indebted series. I liked Sully and enjoyed Elenor but I feel this had too much inner monologue. I also thought it was a bit too descriptive. It’s dark but no where near as dark as some of her other books. Definitely some good twists and turns. Her writing style always blows me away along with her imagination.

My fav one so far in the series

This is the 3rd installment of the Goddess Isles series and I actually LOVE this book as it peels back the mask of Sully bit by bit simply by the love he is discovering for her. Eleanor/Jinx is such a strong, yet innocent woman who only knows goodness but can’t see the darkness in him or what his past did to him. Onward to book 4....warning that this series is quite stressful....and get you anxious of what is next to happened...Huge cliff hanger!!!

Loved and hated it at the same time

Pepper Winters is an exceptional writer as evidenced by her ability to move the reader. It is rare that I have such strong feelings about books in this genre. Perhaps it is the animal lover, the fancier of all things nature and natural, or even being a vegetarian for decades now, that causes me to identify with aspects of the story. Then there are overly dramatic scenes, the endless and constant self reflection of the main characters. That part I did not enjoy. even so, well worth the read.

Gah!! The cliff on this book just about killed me. I knew. I KNEW these characters were just too damn happy and were only in book 3 of 5, but damn. DAMN. Just so good.

Eleanor and Sully 's passionate connection continues.. and this is the best one yet!

I don't know whether it's because it's sunny and I'm in the 5th week of lockdown (due to coronavirus) chilling in the garden whilst listening to this, but I liked it more than the last two. The Eleanor and Sully saga continues and there's a twist which I suspected that is validated in this instalment which I welcomed. We see another side of Sully which is refreshing and vulnerable increasing his likeability. However the ending gives the impression we've made one step forward and now taken four steps back.. sigh! I will read the next instalments.. eventually. It's on my to-do list.. it's not like I'm busy at the moment.
