Publisher's Summary

I’m an all-or-nothing man - 100 percent focused on whatever has my attention. First it was serving my country in the Special Forces. Then it was building my business. Right now it’s the hot blonde at the bar who’s about to become another notch on my bedpost.

But women never keep my attention for more than a night.

Until I peel off Skylar Anderson’s clothes and her mask starts to crumble, showing me glimpses of the girl she’s hiding. She’s funny, sexy, and vulnerable and throws me out of bed before I can catch my breath and suggest breakfast.

When I start my last undercover job on a yacht, turns out she’s one of the crew. I try, but I can’t look away.

Her high ponytail shows off her kissable neck that tastes like summer.

Her short uniform reveals the killer legs that were wrapped around me last night.

And her provocative smile? I know what that mouth is capable of.

I want to explore her body, discover her secrets, and sail off into the sunset with her.

I might want to go all in for Skylar, but she should stay away from me.

I’ve got secrets of my own, and they can only bring her trouble.

Close to perfect and mostly great :)

The story had to grow on me for some reason - in the beginning it didn’t hook me early on. I think because I was internally eye-rolling a bit from how formulaic it was (one or two people who don’t want to or are afraid to feel intimacy...). But I’d known it would be since all these books need to be. I’ve always loved Andi Arndt’s narrating and adore Shane East’s delicious voice EXCEPT for when he has to be the female during sex scenes, haha. TMI but when a woman cries out the man’s name it should be more of a whisper or gasp, me thinks. Every time I heard his name being called out by ‘her’ I was so annoyed with him. But man do I love his voice everywhere else.

Swoon worthy

Louise Bay you have done it again. I fell for both Landon and Skylar , there was just something about this couple that drew me to them and their story; not to mention the secondary characters have me intrigued. The story was well written, engaging and it was great to see the growth of both the main characters as the book evolved. There is just so much to love about Ms. Bay’s stories, the characters, the depth and layers that she weaves kept me riveted from the first to the last chapter.   I loved how protective, hot and alpha Landon was and Skylar’s focus and determination to be independent was an admirable trait. Such is the skill and depth of Louise Bay’s writing she transported me in my mind so that I felt I too was on the yacht cruising the Mediterranean. The chemistry between Landon and Skylar is off the charts and I loved how strong their bond was once it formed. It was also fabulous to catch up and see what is happening with Hayden and Avery. Shane East does a fabulous job narrating (I could Listen to his voice all day) as does Andi Arndt

I expected something different

Well I hoped for a little more intrigue in the plot. The most interesting part got cut. I really hated when the Male narrator played her. the voice is just funny. Overall it has a happy ending.

Review: The Wrong Gentleman

The Wrong Gentleman by Louise Bay is a standalone contemporary romance set in the same world as The Ruthless Gentleman and taking place the season after the events in that story. So while this shares a world and some characters it CAN be read as a standalone. As for the audio narrators - you just CANNOT go wrong with Andi Arndt and Shane East. An absolute pleasure for the ear as well as the mind! Landon Wolf is ex-military, just sold his own security business, and is ready for a break. What he doesn't anticipate is an old friend in desperate need of his skills and a season on a super yacht as a deck hand. Another thing he doesn't anticipate is the sexy blond he spent the night with right before he starts on the yacht also working on that same yacht as chief steward. Skylar has her rules and has them for good reason. Nothing she has ever experienced in life has made her question her rules or doubt them. That is, until one night with Landon James starts chipping away at her painfully constructed walls. Could he possibly be as wonderful as he seems or is this growing attraction between them too good to be true? A beautiful romantic tale of two people doing all they can to avoid romantic entanglements finding themselves more and more twisted up in each other. Add in a super yacht, a summer party in Paris and a hot British ex-military and it checked many of my favorites. Love this author and loved this book. Enjoy!

Wasted my credit!

The male narrator seemed to be trying too hard. I really struggled just to finish it. I found the whole book to be quite boring.

Perfection

Blown away by this woman again. Her characters come to life and become friends I'd love to have around my dinner table. Thumbs up in all categories.

Leave the past where it belongs... behind you.

First off, I absolutely swooned over Shane East narrating. Andi Arndt, is also superb, as always. The story, in itself, was a decent one. It tells of one woman's struggle to overcome her past and make sure she never lets any man get close enough to make her give up everything for. He is ex British SAS and has a thing for blondes. But only for one night. Skylar works on Super Yachts, as Head Steward, and has a particular set of requirements for her perfect man. But if you look hard enough, you'll realise that it's impossible to accomplish, meaning she'll spend her life without a man at her side. Landon has retired from the army, sold his company, for millions of dollars, and is now looking to relax a little before his next job with MI6. They meet one night in a bar and have wild, passionate sex. Then she kicks him out and sends him on his way. His friend calls him up with a job. one last one, to help out an old friend. A dangerous man owns a suoer yacht, but is planning to sell arms to insurgents. He needs eyes on him and any Intel. How can he refuse. What he hadn't bargained on, was Skylar working on the same yacht. Now this might just get interesting.
