The future of just about every nation and the way the world was governed depended upon the Allies winning the war, because if the outcome had swung in favor of Adolf Hitler and his Axis powers of Evil, the cost to humanity would have been even greater.   

War was officially declared on Germany on the September 3rd, 1939, two days after the German army invaded Poland...follow us onward into the history of WW2.
