good wood book
interesting book on the history of timber and how its properties helped propel metallurgy forward at most stages. it does get a bit dry at times, pun intended. and the author had a very bitter slam I enjoyed right at the end on his hometown: 'the average manc is more interested in take that then the boring lecture i gave too finnish executives on trees'. he mustve written the book and then said oh yer I forgot to slag the mancs off and squeezed that insult in the last chapter.
