About this listen
Fate is the darkest curse of all.
Nadine
We’ve reclaimed Octavia Falls and are restoring what was turned to ruin, but the priestesses remain a threat. The Miriamic Coven is looking to us to protect them from those who seek to destroy everything, and our enemies will stop at nothing to disrupt our power.
The Curse Breaker Wand is our last hope. We must venture to places beyond our understanding if we hope to bring an end to this conflict for good. The coven is depending on me, and if I can’t bring our people together, I'll lose the family I've created and be left alone in the remnants of our destruction.
Lucas
Nadine and I are discovering what it means to be a family, but the coven is still in shambles.
The fate of our people stands on the precipice. There are mysteries that remain unsolved and dots we have yet to connect that will determine our future. The choices of a single spellcaster could end us all. We must be willing to unite… otherwise, the coven and all its witches will fade from the magical world, and our goddess will be lost to us for all eternity.
My honest review of the series as a whole is positive overall. There's definitely some immature dialogue here and there as well as conversations that the author is clearly adding in to raise awareness for certain conditions and disabilities. Education is great but sometimes a little too obvious that a message is being delivered that is not necessarily pertinent to the storyline. There is representation of disabled, chronically ill, lgbtq+ people as well as people living with mental illness. There are certain triggers throughout including infant loss, sexual assault/coercion and death and grief feature heavily.
You can see how the author grows and their writing improves significantly throughout the series.
I've got to say I thoroughly enjoyed the series as a whole. The storyline is dense and interesting from start to finish. Would definitely recommend!
I'll never get used to the male narrators "female voice" though.
