The multi-narrator cast—Hannah Hedley, Justin Hill, Olivia White, and Persephone Lee—brings life and heart to this complex installment of the Bloodwing Academy series. I wasn’t a fan of Hedley’s voice for Medra, but overall the performances are strong, especially with the expanding POVs from Regan and Florence adding depth.

Neville’s opening chapter would have been stronger in first person, but the story quickly grips with Regan’s power struggles, Florence’s rider arc, Cage’s secrets, and Visha’s heartbreak and wrath. Blake and Medra’s relationship moves forward smoothly, keeping their dynamic evolving.
A compelling, layered listen that keeps the momentum and intrigue going.
