I look like a normal kid. Only there's a difference. Poseidon, God of the Sea is my dad. Which sounds cool, but actually means there is usually someone (or something), somewhere, trying to kill me. Now I live at Camp Half-Blood, with other kids like me. But Camp Half-Blood is a bit different to most summer camps. Instead of toasting marshmallows and singing campfire songs, we battle giant cannibals at dodgeball. This time, we're under attack and I need to get my hands on the Golden Fleece or we'll be invaded by monsters. Big ones.

Look, I didn't want to be a half-blood. I never asked to be the son of a Greek God. I was just a normal kid, going to school, playing basketball, skateboarding. The usual. Until I accidentally vaporized my maths teacher. That's when things started really going wrong. Now I spend my time fighting with swords, battling monsters with my friends, and generally trying to stay alive. This is the one where Zeus, God of the Sky, thinks I've stolen his lightning bolt - and making Zeus angry is a very bad idea.

The Wild Robot Escapes is the best story ever.
We are a class of 7 and 8 year olds from New Zealand. We read this book as a class story. We recommend this book for people aged 7 or 8 and older. The author chooses really great descriptive language and we have a lot of opinions about the characters. This was a great book to read and we are really pleased we read it.

Outstanding story, reading, and production
I teach robotics at the university level, and also do a lot of K-12 outreach. The technical accuracy is stunning, and this book together with its predecessor also tells a thoroughly gripping story. The reading is marvelous, and I love the sound effects. They are subtle, but perfectly introduced. About halfway through listening I was gifted the hardcover set, which will take a place on my bookshelf reserved for the best treasures that I am sure will be admired for years to come.

Not just for children
This tale is very addictive. After finishing the first book, I got the second. I’ve only done this one other time in all my years of enjoying Audible books. I would strongly suggest that the first book be read in order to understand, fully, the second. Congratulations on two fully fleshed out stories, characters and well thought out sequencing.

Such a great audible book
We absolutely adore the story of Roz and Brightbill. The story starts out right where book 1 left off and we are anxious to hear how our robot is doing and wondering if she will ever get back to her island and we find new characters to fall in love with along the way. Truly, one of our favorite stories of all time.
