I raced through The White Crow. It's another tour de force from Michael Robotham. He is so good at humanising his characters - even the nasty ones (LINWOOD BARCLAY)
It's a rare treat to read crime fiction and adore the entire ensemble of characters. Everyone from PC Philomena McCarthy to Detective Keegan to Eddie McCarthy and his three old-school criminal brothers is so beautifully drawn - you tear through the pages praying they can be trusted. I was so excited when I discovered Michael Robotham had written another book for the Philomena series. I had it on a waitlist for months and it did not disappoint.
I must admit, I’m also a huge Katy Sobey fan and she is amazing at bringing Phil to life.

Kept me guessing, loving the twists and turns and how he manages to blur the lines, turning the most unlikely into the heroes. Loved it, devoured in two days. Perfect narration - now forever the voice of Philomena.

Robotham books are so well written. Good characters, compelling plot - nothing so complicated that you can’t get a handle on it within the first couple of chapters. Story draws you in and keeps a steady momentum right through to the end.
