Publisher's Summary

There is a secret code of the Knights Templar on the Camino de Santiago....

Sent by her father to locate the Knights Templar's greatest treasure - and save her kingdom from ruin - Princess Isabella of France finds one of seven secret doors that unlocks the Templars' mysterious treasure. With this discovery, she expects the mission to be easy. But when she is ambushed on the Camino de Santiago, Isabella is not only forced to seek refuge with the exact company she was sent to steal from, but she's unexpectedly reunited with her one true love, Etienne.

Shocked that the woman who'd betrayed him so long ago is now before him, Etienne is forced to put the past aside and do his duty as a Templar to help a pilgrim in need.

It's not long before the past catches up to them. Now they must both decide: to love again, or to remain loyal? Etienne is tied to his vow as a Templar, and Isabella to the will of her father. As Isabella and her unlikely companions journey across Spain, they unlock the Templars' secret codes, face immortal shadows, and discover the wisdom of the Camino de Santiago.

Isabella's quest leads her to love, friendship, and self-discovery - but if she's not careful, it could also lead to the destruction of the world.

Can't wait for the next one!

This is a great start to a new series. It's has of magic, action, adventure and love. Once you start, you won't be able to put it down! The narrator Lessa Lamb did an excellent job. There are numerous characters, and each had a distinct voice. Creative and enjoyable story can't wait to see more from the author!

Interesting story

This is a well written and interesting fictional story from the 14th Century. It gives the reader a good feel of what walking the Camino would have been like around those days. The story takes you through the life of 6 different pilgrims and I could almost picture how they would look like if the story was brought up to the big screen. I truly enjoyed this book.

I thought the story require an older narrator either male of female, but the story is good so I listened attentively through the end.

The Way: Through A Field of Stars

A fabulous action packed novel, full of excitement, romance and history! A very well written story, very gripping and enjoyable. I can't help but find the narrator a little annoying, but that doesn't detract from how good the story is.

Couldn't Stop Listening

I listen to many, many audio books, especially during this last year with the pandemic, and this is one of those novels that is impossible to stop listening to! It is read by the very talented Lessa Lamb who brought what is already an exciting story to life. Historical fiction, laced with facts, Templar Knights, a love story or two, life teachings, battles, chases, mysteries, treasure... even a song... This book has it all! I look forward to more books please Mr Lucky Skillen!
