Publisher's Summary

Is Emma ready for a bite?

Emma Carter has been in love with Max Cannon since high school, but he barely knew she existed. Now, she runs her own unique curio shop, and she’s finally come out her shell and into her own.

When Max returns to his small home town to take up his duties as the Halle Pride’s alpha, he finds shy little Emma has grown up. That small spark of something he’d always felt around the teenager has blossomed into something more - his mate!

Taking her “out for a bite” ensures that the luscious Emma will be permanently his.

But Max’s ex has plans of her own. Plans that don’t include Emma being around to interfere. To keep her alpha, Emma must prove to the Pride she has what it takes to be Max’s mate.

Wonderful to have this series in audible.

Wonderful to have this series in audible as I have read these so many times. The narrator is good and I enjoyed listening but just not enough differentiation from male to female character voices. BOOK REVIEW I can reread this book continuously. Love it. A good well written fun read with very interesting characters, which I always appreciate in a book. Emma is a capable interesting business woman who is able to bring Max to his knees. I am not a fan of the insta love/lust aspect in shifter books but it just works in this one for some reason. I think maybe the fact that Emma has lusted after Max since High School eases the way. This series and all the interconnecting ones (Halle Shifters and Poconos Pack) give you highs, lows, laughter and tears. I have read all of these interconnecting books at least four times. These are my go to books for a laugh out loud and relax reads. A great read featuring wonderful characters that kicks of some fantastic adventures, chaos and spin offs. I have owned this book and the whole series for years and love rereading them all. Previous reviews are missing. Do yourself a favour and read Ms Bells books.
