Publisher's Summary

Sometimes a wolf has to stand alone to find out what he's made of.

Melody is an ambitious entrepreneur who has always loved the thrill of a new adventure, but she's about to get more than she bargained for when the only way to save her business is to secure a deal with a powerful tribal leader. Running Horse, Oklahoma, isn't on the map, and Mel is about as lost as a Shifter can get. When she unexpectedly runs into her best friend's brother, her friendly visit quickly turns treacherous.

Lakota Cross is a man with secrets. While tracking a killer, he reunites with Melody, and their friendship sparks into a passionate affair. But if he doesn't quell the fire soon, it might burn out of control.

Once again, fate brings these two Shifters together in a moment of need. But will the sacrifice be greater than the reward?

Murder, mayhem, and a mating ceremony.

Fast paced thriller with some romance for good measure. Great story very well written ❤️

Short version: loved the story but found the narration stilted and distracting. As I have all the books read by this narrator. Nowadays I read these story’s first, then listen on my commute. That way my mind can apply my own interpretation.

Enter Lakota, Ivy’s son from a violent encounter as a teenager, and Melody Cole, fashion entrepreneur and business partner to Lakota’s little sister.
He’s a bounty hunter now, working undercover for the Higher Authority, investigating the mysterious deaths of women around a Native American Reservation.
..... which just happens to be where Melody is headed to meet a contract on the Res. Who sells the best stones for Hope’s jewellery. With the Grand Opening looking for their new business venture their suppliers have backed out and they need to get a more reliable source for supply

In no time Melody finds herself in the middle of Lakota’s investigation, and in danger. Can he get to her in time to save her?

You’ve got to read it, it’s terrific!
