Publisher's Summary

A New York Times best seller! Don't miss this latest Krewe of Hunters book — an all-new standalone story featuring the FBI's elite paranormal team.

Someone wants to watch the city burn....

Sienna Murray was only 14 when she pulled her neighbors out of a raging house fire. A decade later, she still can’t explain what happened that night, how she knew to save them at just the right moment — or why she receives the same mysterious warning when it happens again....

New member of the Krewe of Hunters elite paranormal team Detective Ryder Stapleton doesn’t believe in coincidences. So when the suspicious fire he’s called to investigate reveals a cryptic link to Sienna, he can’t help but think the unassuming museum curator has something to hide. But he soon discovers they have more in common than he ever thought — and a growing attraction neither can deny.

If they're going to have a future, Sienna and Ryder need to catch a serial arsonist roaming the shadowy streets of New Orleans…before the city burns down around them.

I love this series!!

Heather Graham as always writes a great story. She kept me in suspense to the very end of the story.

Conflicted over Sienna

The heroine was aggravating. she did not seem to respect the hero, a trained LEO or his partner on the case, an FBI agent. she also constantly dismissed her instincts as " her imagination." - so frustrating. She did not reach " to stupid to live" levels in that although she constantly sighed over the concerns of the hero, she did at least follow his advice. Otherwise decent plot, good story and good narration

Have been an avid Krewe follower, but ...

The last few Krewe books have had female leads that you just want to shut up already. This particular female lead spent over 7 hours (basically the entire book) arguing with or being nasty to the male lead, making stupid statements and/or arguments, etc. Strong is good, but this female lead was very off-putting. Kinda hoped she would get finished off by the bad guy so the poor Krewe guy could look for a partner who wasn't a shrew ... May take a Krewe break for a while.

Not the best one

This book seemed rushed and not up to Heather Graham's usual standard. It was shorter than normal, too, I think. The whole dialysis machine, money trail, whodunit was very confusing and seemed thrown together. I still don't understand how it all fit together and who all the players were or how they were connected. Almost seemed like someone else wrote the book...Disappointing.
Now the narrator, although good, he desperately needs to research how to properly pronounce Louisiana words. He butchered several words in the last book and in this book he would say Terrebonne Parish correctly one time and wrong the next. For those not familiar with LA, it is Terr-uh-bone Parish, NOT Terr-uh-bony! That is like scraping nails down a chalkboard every time I heard him say that! Also, Pontchartrain does not have a French pronunciation. It is just Ponch-uh-train.
From the last book...
Beignet is pronounced Ben-Yay, not Big-Net.
Picayune is pronounced Pick-E-Yun, not Pick-A-Knee
Ok, that's all...For now.
