About this listen
The complete, unabridged audiobook of The Two Towers.
Building on the story begun in The Hobbit and The Fellowship of the Ring, this is the second part of Tolkien’s epic masterpiece, The Lord of the Rings, available as a complete and unabridged audiobook.
Frodo and the Companions of the Ring have been beset by danger during their quest to prevent the Ruling Ring from falling into the hands of the Dark Lord by destroying it in the Cracks of Doom. They have lost the wizard, Gandalf, in the battle with an evil spirit in the Mines of Moria; and at the Falls of Rauros, Boromir, seduced by the power of the Ring, tried to seize it by force. While Frodo and Sam made their escape the rest of the company were attacked by Orcs.
Now they continue their journey alone down the great River Anduin – alone, that is, save for the mysterious creeping figure that follows wherever they go.

Legendary
There is no equal. Tolkien has crafted a story like no other. The world he has created is vast, beautiful and strangely believable.

Such a great telling of an epic journey!
Rob Inglis does a fantastic job. It's so nice to have the book read to you with character voices that change with mood and emotion, he reads as if he is invested in the story too. Tolkien's books are such a joy, they need no review.
Onward to book 3!

Fantastic Listen
Narrator was nothing short of amazing! I listened to the Lord of the rings books every night before I sleep. I can honestly say that I have had more enjoyment listening to the books than I have watching the movie (I love the movies!)
If you are thinking of purchasing or using a credit on any one of these books I recommend it.

Singing?
I only wish that the words to the songs were spoken to instrumental accompaniment- … I actually fast forwarded the singing but otherwise really enjoyed the narrator’s performance.
