Publisher's Summary

An incredible victory but at a terrible price....

Against all the odds, Jack West Jr found the Three Secret Cities but at a heartbreaking cost.

His beloved daughter, Lily, it appeared, was slaughtered by Sphinx in a cruel ancient ritual.

To the mountains and the fall!

With his rivals far ahead of him, Jack must now get to one of the five iron mountains - two of which have never been found - and perform a mysterious feat known only as 'The Fall'.

Although what is this object on the moon that is connected to it?

A new player arrives.

Amid all this, Jack will discover that a new player has entered the race, a general so feared by the four legendary kingdoms they had him locked away in their deepest dungeon.

Only now this general has escaped, and he has a horrifying plan of his own....

what the hell happened ?

once upon a time Matthew Reilly wrote a credible fun adventure story . I was a huge fan. Now JWJr is involved in the most ridiculous stories ever written. His books stated off well and have become progressively so far away from the original book. If he wants to write science fiction pick another character. Unbelievably disappointing and unimaginative. You've ruined a great character Mathew Reilly

3rd and final book for me

I know there is one more book to come in the series, but I’m just too frustrated to go on. It just gets too much when every situation Jack and his team find themselves in is an impossible one that is always immediately made more impossible. I started with the 4 legendary Kingdoms which was stressful enough. There is such a thing as over Catastrophizing and drawing out the story too long that people give up on finding out what the conclusion is.

Garbage

This is the most purile unadulterated garbage I have ever tried to read/listen to. I can not go on listeneing to this. Reilly used to be a good read, but in my opinion he's lost it. What an absolute waste of a good credit. Somehow this post did not pick up my Name. I have not chosen to be anonymous. My name is Rick Jenkins and I stand by what i have said not hiding behind anonymity!
I have returned the book for a credit and received it. Thank you Audible.

Less Action more Hate Speech

As Reilly's Omega series progresses, though fictional, his vilification of the Catholic Church grows exponentially, to the point of becoming the core story. Instead of the action and adventure that we all love, major chunks of the book are taken up by vilifying descriptions of how the church doesn't allow women freedom, is full of hypocritical homosexuals, and run by money hungry capitalists.

I won't be returning for the last book - seven years of regret. I think Reilly has just lost focus.

Getting very tired!!

I have enjoyed all the Jack West books pulp fictional it’s best, but this latest book is just bad. The plot is paper thin and the writing not up to Matthew’s normal standard.
To top it of Sean Mangan is also very weak in this performance, I use to love his ‘so bad’ voices they were good, but this book is shocking, super slow and hard to enjoy- I had to play it at 1.5 speed to not go crazy!
I’m committed but I really hope the last book is better this this !

Best Australian action author

I thoroughly love Reading Matthew Reilly books.
I believe his books need to be put to the big screen for their total enjoyment as exciting adventure stories which captivate the reader to the point of finishing a book in one sitting. Exhilarating, heart pounding and thrilling 10/10 😃

Great writer

Just love this writer and the narration. Such a wonderful series to get immersed into and needs to be reread or listened to as in my case more than once to pick up on the details missed the first few times. Love the feeling of living what i read and now due to sight impairment i can imagine and feel he thrill of Jack West and all his entourage and the chase
