Publisher's Summary

Penguin presents a marvellous new recording of Roald Dahl's The Twits, read by IT Crowd star Richard Ayoade. The audiobook features original music.

Mr Twit is a foul and smelly man with bits of cornflake and sardine in his beard. Mrs Twit is a horrible old hag with a glass eye. They've kept Muggle-Wump monkeys caged in the garden for far too long, and now the monkeys want to take their revenge....

Sound levels were a bit off

The sound levels were off which made it frustrating while listening to in the car - having to turn it up and down constantly.

My 7 year old who doesn't have the greatest attention span loved it nonetheless.

only went for an hour. i should have checked the length before i used a credit. it should be bundled with another book. performance was good although the male character was hard to hear and the female character was way to loud.

Great 👍

To me it tells people not to be mean to anyone or anything so people don’t do that to it or you

Ayoade is a national treasure

This book is amazingly narrated by Ayoade. I would gladly sit and giggle along with my 4yo niece to this wonderful tale. Highly recommended.

Best narrator.

Fantastic narration for this classic Roald Dahl story. An easy five stars, from our eight year old listener.

VERY expensive for an hour

Nothing wrong with story or delivery of the story. But it’s a rip off for an hour of story telling and Amazon should be ashamed at the price or, failing that, their inability to negotiate a fairer price for its customers with the principal.

Fun and Enjoyable Listen!

I remember reading this in primary school, and since I was (and still am) a fan of Roald Dahl's work, I thought I would re-live some of my childhood.

Very funny and enjoyable story that lasts just under an hour which I listened to whilst out for an evening walk. Definitely recommended for children of primary school age, and those that want to re-live a bit of nostalgia. Also, entertaining narration from Richard Ayoade.

So much nostalgia

I loved the twits as a kid and my brother just got a tone of Roald Dahl books as a prize for getting a good report at the end of year 2. He's so excited to listen with me and I love hearing it again. 10/10

Excellent reading by Mr. Ayoade!

Great to read in one sitting. I liked the music at the beginning and end as well; it added character to the narration.

Twits

I didn't really like it that much especially at night.
The music is rather scary. I wouldn't recommend it for small children. I think it isn't really nice

Great book from my childhood

Narration wasn't so good, but the book itself is brilliant! Well worth a listen, for children and nostalgic adults alike!
