I thought this was great! A very different FMC to the soft demure ones that are often featured in this genre. I loved her! It was funny, touching, and with just the right amount of spice. Rosalyn Landor’s narration was also great, as ever. Very easy and enjoyable read.

Having such a brassy heroine made for an interesting story, it was amazing to listen to the way the story advanced between her and the hero, especially when the tale was read by one of the better actors. I don’t think I could have been as adventurous as she heroine back in that time but it was a refreshing change from the usual stories in that era. Listen to it if you dare.
